Counting My Blessings

We had our annual White Christmas viewing on Sunday night, starting with a big bowl of white chicken chili - a tradition we have kept up for many many years, but shared with friends this year. It’s one of the many holiday evenings we repeat each season, and probbaly one of our absolute favorites.

The scene in the movie at the Carousel Club has always been a favorite, and I couldn’t believe I had never made artwork based on it - so I changed that!

Jack took part in our big event - and I was glad that he still fit into these red pajamas, just like the ones from the Counting My Blessings scene!

Though I’d never drawn the Carousel Club scene, I have made a few drawings based on this well-loved film. Here’s a gouache painting I made a couple years ago based on the final scene!
